How to load XLN Audio plug-ins in Reaper on Windows
For VST 3 all XLN plug-ins use the standard path set by Steinberg: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
For VST 2:
First of all you need to make sure that Reaper is scanning your XLN Audio plug-in folder:
- Load up the XLN Online Installer
- Go to the Customize Installation window and click the Installation Paths tab
- Make a note of the VST 2 (64 bit) plug-in path
- Load up Reaper and go to Preferences -> Plug-Ins -> VST
- Add the path from step 3 to the VST Plugin Paths list
- Now you're ready to load the plug-in
Loading an instrument plug-in (Addictive Drums, Addictive Keys, XO):
- Go to the menu Track -> Insert virtual instrument on new track...
- Go into Developers -> XLN Audio and double-click on the plug-in you wish to load
Loading an effect plug-in (DS-10, RC-20, Addictive Trigger):
- Click the [FX] button for the track you wish to add the plug-in to
- Go into Developers -> XLN Audio and double-click on the plug-in you wish to load
