Automation
Almost every control can be automated in your DAW. Bypass and Magnitude come first in the list, and the rest are named by section, such as NOISE Amount, ECHO Feedback or MASTER Varispeed Speed.
The following can’t be automated: the module enable buttons, Noise Type, Space Type, Decay and Stretch, Clip, Oversampling, Codec/Magnetic mode and the module order.
Latency and oversampling
Most of RC-20 adds no latency. Two things do: Loss in Codec mode (1024 samples, about 23 ms at 44.1 kHz) and Oversampling (up to 12 samples). RC-20 reports this to your DAW, which compensates automatically. What counts is whether the module is switched on, not how far its Big Knob is turned, so the latency doesn’t jump while you turn it. Since switching these on or off changes the latency, avoid doing it while you record or play live through RC-20.
