Space is RC-20’s reverb. Choose Classic, the original RC-20 reverb, or one of 32 new spaces, from rooms, plates and springs to amp cabinets and some stranger places.
Type Choose the type of space.
Decay The length of the reverb tail. Some types have a fixed length, so Decay is grayed out for them. On Classic, the knob shows a red zone above 90% to warn that tails can get very looooonnnng.
Stretch Changes the timbre of the reverb, and on every type except Classic its length too. At the center there’s no stretching.
Predelay Delays the reverb by up to 300 ms, keeping the start of each sound clear.
Duck Pushes the reverb down while the start of your sound plays, then lets it swell back in.
Pan/Width Drag left and right to pan the reverb, and up and down to set its width. Below zero, left and right swap.
Focus Sets the frequencies that go into the reverb, to keep out low-end mud, for example.
Flux Wobbles the predelay, for subtle pitch movement in the reverb.
Big Knob The balance between your sound and the reverb. Up to halfway it adds reverb on top of your full sound. Beyond that your sound fades out, and at 100% you hear only the reverb.
