DB-30 comes loaded with a ton of great-sounding presets. Open the Preset section by clicking the current preset name in the top menu. Since there are so many presets, the Preset section includes various search tools to help you find what you’re looking for.
Note that you can reach the Modules’ big knobs, the Magnitude slider and the Master Section from within the preset browser for quick tweaks. You can also lock and unlock modules.
The Preset section is divided into four panes: From left to right, the first sorts presets by their origin, the second (which is collapsible) has character or function filters, the third is the master list of all presets, and the last one (which is visible when the second pane is collapsed) shows detailed information about the currently selected presets.
Preset list
In the leftmost section, you can find the presets you have tagged as Favorites, the presets you have created, and the presets that XLN Audio’s sound designers created and included with DB-30. You can create multiple User collections of presets, for example, if you want to make collections that suit different musical genres. Just click the + icon next to User and name the new collection.
Add a preset to the desired collection by right-clicking the preset name in the preset master list and selecting the target collection from the dropdown list. Presets can exist in multiple Collections at the same time.
Cloud Sync
User presets are synced to your account at xlnaudio.com using our Cloud Sync service. This means that all your presets are available and kept updated across all machines where you are logged in. There is no requirement to be online at any time to use DB-30 fully, but when a connection is found your local and cloud storage will be synced. To intentionally disconnect from Cloud Sync, toggle the cloud icon ‘off’ in the left pane in the preset browser.
Filters open/close
Open or close the Filter section, where you can search presets using keywords grouped by Character and Function.
Preset filters
Select the Character and Function descriptors that fit what you’re looking for, and you’ll see the master preset list shrink down to only display the ones that are tagged accordingly. Click Clear to reset all filters.
Search field
