Install Life
Like all other XLN Audio products, Life and the Life DAW Recorder are installed using the XLN Online Installer. See the guide on how to install XLN products. -
Run Life standalone or load it in your DAW
You can run Life either as a standalone application on Windows and macOS, or as an instrument plugin in all major DAWs. See the guides on how to load XLN plugins in different hosts.
Set up the mobile app

Download the mobile app
iOS: Click this link, or open the Apple App Store and search for “Life Field Recorder”. Press ”Get” to download and install the app.
Android: Click this link, or open the Google Play Store and search for “Life Field Recorder”. Press ”Install” to download and install the app. -
Pair with the mobile app
Open the mobile app and press ”Enter pairing code”. To get your pairing code, start Life on your computer and go through the welcome steps until you get to the pairing code, or click the ☰ icon in the top right corner and choose ”Pair Device...”
How many mobiles can be registered to Life?
You can have multiple mobiles registered to Life, just pair the Life Field Recorder App on your mobile with your Life plugin.
How do I log out from an XLN account in the Life Field Recorder App?
Click on the cloud-icon in the upper-right corner of the app and select logout from your account.
